Our Funder

Currently most of our funding comes from the Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP) through the Public Health Agency of Canada, which enables us to provide services to women who are pregnant or have a baby up to 6 months. This is ongoing program funding designed to provide a long-term community resource.

Our Name

Anna's House is named after Dr. Anna Schilstra, who was Steinbach's first woman doctor in the early 1900's. Her specialty was women's health and she was known for her caring and nurturing spirit. We hope to carry on this tradition through unique resources available for families in the Southeast region of Manitoba.
